I remember watching this live and bawling like a baby. I still cry watching it now. You feel the pain that NY and the world was going through at that time. Jon expresses raw emotion in this clip. So I get asked alot what type of music is on my Ipod.
Being a child of the 70's & 80's I love tunes from that period.
One of my favorite bands is The Doobie Brothers and one of my favorite
artists is Kenny Loggins. Here are a couple of videos showcasing Michael
Mcdonald And Kenny Loggins. Both of these videos were filmed at the Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium at an event where friends and admirers of Michael McDonald came together to pay homage to the man and his music. As a member of the Doobie Brothers and a successful solo artist, Michael McDonald's distinctive baritone vocals are instantly recognizable to fans worldwide. And Kenny Loggins has always been a great friend and worked with McDonald on various songs.

25 Random Things About Me

So I actually did this even though I promised myself I would not get caught up in this nonsense...so for the heck of it:

Sorry if I tagged you & you've already done this......I've lost track of how many times I've been tagged for this.

1. As a kid I wanted to be a Firefighter. Then I wanted to be an airline pilot. Now I work in the best job of all: IT at Strawbridge Studios in Durham, NC. I keep 150+ photographer laptops in the field and 140+ desktop computers running. I also help manage a 12 Terabyte SAN.

2. One of the greatest memories from childhood was spending time at my Grandmothers where I could watch "Welcome Back Kotter" and "Sha na na" while eating vanilla wafers and drinking Coke in the glass bottle.

3. The older I get the more difficult it is to remember how life was before the internet came around. My Nieces and nephews think I am joking when I tell them there was a time where computers were not found in homes.

4. I miss my grandmother. She was one of those special people you can completely confide in and she always accepted me no matter how bad I screwed up.

5. I sometimes have difficulties with religion. I have a cousin who has two beautiful daughters and a wonderful wife and is one of the most intelligent people I know. He has several college degrees and is a professor at a college. He probably will not be around to see next year due to having a brain tumor. Why does a merciful God allow that to happen to him while so many evil people live such long lives? It is tough to understand.

6. My Favorite Movies: Back to the Future Trilogy, Goodfellas, Star Wars Saga (even the last 3), and Office Space.

7. I could not have made it through the last 5 years without my dog Bongo. Ironically it was my ex-wife that first wanted a dog and not me. When my ex-wife turned her back on my dog (and I) I knew I could never turn my back on him. He can be as stubborn as I am but he has the biggest canine heart.

8. I don't subscribe to Cable TV and don't miss it. I can watch most programming online via Hulu or other sources if I really need to catch something important. Otherwise I download Video Podcasts and dock my Video Ipod to my TV to watch them. I also read alot. I do surf the interwebs alot.

9. In my smartphone I have the personal cellphone numbers for:
Greg Ellis (Pro Bowl Linebacker for Dallas Cowboys)
Bill Atkinson (President & CEO of entire Wake Med Hospital System in Central NC)

It feels weird that I should know these people one a first name basis and I know any of them would take a phone call from me anytime. Why me? I don't feel "Important Enough".

10. As much as I enjoy the internet and my job is dependent on parts of it, I do sometimes wish I could go back to the Late 70's Early 80's when life seemed more simple. I know it actually wasn't but I still wish I could go back.

11. I have a large Stephen King library. I have several hard to find 1st editions of some of his books and I go back and reread some books of his I have already read before. I am in the midst of dissecting his "Dark Tower" series. Great stuff.

12. I don't regret getting married in 2004 then divorced in 2006. Even though my ex hurt me and her own family deeply I learned alot and met alot of wonderful people. And I learned to appreciate true Kentucky Bourbon.

13. Even though I know radio theory inside and out, the kid in me gets excited every time I hear a far away AM radio station or hear a new radio channel on my police/public safety scanners.

14. It is weird to see the different jobs I have held over the years: Traffic Reporter/Radio Personality, Retail, Call Center Supervisor, Police Dept Volunteer, Cell Phone Corporate Representative, IT Geek for Multi-Million Dollar School Photography Company. I have done it all.

15. I love my family dearly but sometimes I do not stay in touch with out of state family members as much as I should. I do feel bad because I do care but each day passes too damn quickly.

16. I have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). I was diagnosed in the early 80's before it became popular to label kids with it. I am not hyperactive but I do hate long form writing more than anything else. I would rather type for 2 hours straight on the computer rather than write one page in longhand.

17. I do get really bad migraine headaches from time to time. When I do get one the only way to get rid of it is to take advil liquagels and rest.

18. Growing up I always felt I was in the shadow of my brother. He was the straight A student who rarely did anything wrong. He also had alot of friends and I was a loner. I did resent him for a time due to the above but I now love him and respect him. And I now love who I am and have a wonderful group of supportive friends.

19. My sister Jessica is one of the most amazing people I know. She can be as stubborn as I can be but she is wicked smart and I love her and will stand by her till the end of time.

20. I hope to someday retire to Charleston, South Carolina. As a kid I spent many summers down there on the beach and I feel that is where I am supposed to end up. I will do whatever it takes to make it happen.

21. Honestly: I don't know if I ever want children. I know that sounds bad and selfish but I just don't know if I will ever be ready for that responsibility. Don't get me wrong: The art of trying with a special lady is hella fun!

22. I have been known to take hour long baths where I will take a good book with me and read and read until the water turns cold. #11 is related to this one.

23. My FCC Issued ham radio callsign (KE4ZNR) has become synonymous with my name. I answer to it just as I would my 1st name. It is on my car license plate and I use it as a username at Radioreference.com where I am a database admin/forum mod.

24. I made stupid decisions when I was a teenager but have overcome those missteps and believe I have turned out OK.

25. I am addicted to Strawberry Twizzlers and I always keep some on hand at home. I don't know why because I hated them when I was a kid but now can't live without them. I guess there are worse vices.
